Metcalfe County Elementary School Receives Two National Beta Awards

EDMONTON, Ky. (May 3, 2022) – Metcalfe County Schools is proud to announce that Metcalfe County Elementary School is a 2021-2022 National Beta School of Merit and a 2021-2022 National Beta School of Distinction.

MCES earned the School of Merit recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on campus. The school attained the School of Distinction designation by increasing the club’s membership by at least 10% from last year.

Both awards honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership, and service to others.

In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO, said, “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”

MCES Principal Michael Gill said, “We are extremely proud of our Beta students and club sponsors. They work hard all year to provide valuable services for our school and the community. They are school leaders, and we are grateful for their commitment and dedication.”

With more than 500,000 active members and 9,000 chapters nationally and internationally, National Beta has become the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization. National Junior Beta includes grades 4-8, and National Senior Beta includes grades 9-12.
