EDMONTON, Ky. (December 16, 2021) – Metcalfe County Schools is proud to announce that MCMS Assistant Principal LeAnne Bell has been chosen to participate in the 2022 Kentucky Women in Education Leadership (KWEL) program.
KASA (the Kentucky Association of School Administrators) conducts the KWEL program, now in its fifth year. It’s designed for women working in P-12 public education who wish to strengthen or advance their careers through leadership development opportunities and ongoing professional growth, coaching, and mentoring.
“We are excited for Mrs. Bell to be awarded this opportunity,” said Metcalfe County Schools Superintendent Josh Hurt. “She is an experienced educator in our district with strong leadership skills and a desire to ensure all students receive a world-class education. We look forward to her becoming a mentor for other women in our school system.”
KASA Executive Director Dr. Rhonda Caldwell said, “The 58 talented leaders in the 2022 cohort will join more than 100 of their colleagues statewide to help redefine the future for women in public education and are part of the generation redefining what school can and should be.”
Mrs. Bell will be inducted during a special ceremony at the KWEL forum, Together We Rise, January 27-28 in Louisville.
