Madelyn-Grace Wright competed in a two-day Kentucky Youth Association Virtual Assembly, where she presented a mock bill and debated with other bill sponsors throughout Kentucky. During this process, Madelyn-Grace was charged with drafting and presenting her bill in House and Senate committees, following Kentucky State Government policy-making procedures. After two days of rigorous debate among 16 schools (many with 20+) student members, Madelyn-Grace was awarded the following:

 

  • Top 4 in day 1 Senate Debates 
  • KYA Premier Delegation (awarded to the schools that exemplify all qualities of KYA and conference expectations) 
  • Outstanding Bluegrass Bill (awarded to the bill ranked highest by peers and advisors-based on preparation, thought, planning, presentation, and benefit to the people)
