EDMONTON, Ky. (November 11, 2020) – The Metcalfe County Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Superintendent Josh Hurt provided an update on the district’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Currently, Metcalfe County remains in-person; although, both in-person and at-home options are available to all students,” Hurt said. “Our leadership team continues to look at the numbers, and while we feel good about what we’re trying to do, we know we have to remain flexible.” The public can access information about COVID-19 on the district’s website by clicking here.

At the meeting, auditors presented the findings of the 2020 financial audit. The district’s finances were found to be in good order. Metcalfe County Schools received a clean opinion with no deficiencies.

On the agenda, the board approved safety upgrades to the entrances of all three schools, approved a KETS (Kentucky Technology Education Systems) offer of assistance for $9,855, and approved a contract to offer hearing impaired services at Hart County Schools from November 2020 through May 2021.
