Metcalfe County Schools would like to thank everyone who helped execute successfully our 2020-2021 Reopening Plan. Whether At-Home or In-Person, it’s wonderful to see our students re-engaged in education. Our goal is threefold: to keep students safe, make sure they are learning, and provide them with an experience worth having.

In creating our Back to School plan, the district carefully reviewed the “Guidance on Safety Expectations and Best Practices for Kentucky Schools” document created with input from the Kentucky Department of Education and the Governor’s Office. On Aug. 31, the state released new guidance asking districts to require masks to be worn at all times unless drinking, eating, or outside at least 6-feet apart. We feel our students and staff are going above and beyond to mask and be safe. Metcalfe County Schools will continue to review new guidance and adjust our plans as necessary.
