Metcalfe County Schools Named National Beta District of Distinction
EDMONTON, Ky. (June 6, 2019) – National Beta is proud to announce Metcalfe County as a 2018-19 National District of Distinction. This award is given to deserving districts that offer National Beta in all schools in their district, and induct qualifying students in all eligible grades (4-12). Metcalfe County is one of only 20 districts to receive this award nationwide.
Through the exceptional efforts of Superintendent Dr. Benny Lile, club sponsors, and deserving Beta members, Metcalfe County has flourished since the district’s initial Beta charter. This national award speaks highly of Metcalfe County Schools’ commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and service involvement. It also illustrates a dedication to preparing students for college and career readiness. The students in Metcalfe County understand the importance of these qualities and exemplify the Beta motto, Let Us Lead by Serving Others.
Metcalfe County Schools received a National Beta District of Distinction award to display at the board of education office. In addition, National Beta District of Distinction club sponsors received a plaque to display at their schools.
