"Reading Under the Big Top" Literacy Night a Huge Success at MCES

Metcalfe County Elementary School's annual Family Literacy Night, "Reading Under the Big Top," was one of the most popular literacy events in the school's history. The evening highlighted reading, writing, and literacy through a variety of fun, circus-themed activities.

More than 500 students and their family members participated in the 2022 Family Literacy Night, which is held each year during "Read Across America Week." Students and their families also enjoyed food, crafts, and prizes. Principal Michael Gill was even taped to the wall as part of a Beta fundraiser.

Remember, encourage your child to read each day! Utilize the local public library, your child’s school library, or borrow a book from a friend.
