MCHS Joins the Amazon Future Engineer Program Amazon

EDMONTON, Ky. (September 30, 2020) – Metcalfe County High School has been selected to join the Amazon Future Engineer program and will receive funding from Amazon to bring expanded computer science classes to students this school year.

WiFi Hot Spot Partnerships WiFi

Metcalfe County Schools are partnering with several local businesses and community groups to provide free WiFi Hot Spot locations across the county. Currently, we have established free WiFi sites at: 

  • Kentucky Farm Bureau
  • Metcalfe County Public Library
  • Edmonton Manor 
  • Tree Top Apartments
  • Edmonton Worship Center
  • Center United Methodist Church
  • Center Fire Department
  • Sulphur Well Community Building
  • Winfrey's Chapel
  • Branstetter Park

The Metcalfe County Board of Education met in regular session on Thursday, September 10, 2020. The board recognized Metcalfe County High School student Logan Phelps as the September Student of the Month. The MCHS cafeteria staff was recognized as Classified Employees of the Month, and MCHS guidance counselor Brandy Morgan was recognized as Certified Employee of the Month.

Meal Services

Metcalfe County Schools will be offering free meals for students enrolled in the "At Home" learning model during the 2020-21 school year. Meals will be available for pick up on Mondays, 9am-11am and 3pm-5pm in front of the Central Office at 709 West Stockton Street. Signs will be posted.
