Students Inducted into National Honor Society

National Honor Society

Sixteen students were inducted into the Metcalfe County High School National Honor Society. Congratulations Jaxon Allen, Claudia Bell, Coleman Boling, Braelyn Davis, Allie Deweese, Boston Devore, Macy Welsh, Nikki Hiser, Shelby Thompson, Carlie Howard, John Linkous, Mason Tucker, Chris Shaw, Jaycie Harper, Kinzy Greever, and Anna Humphrey Thanks to Mrs. Kelly Shaw and Mrs. Anita Love for sponsoring NHS and for hosting a special night for these students.

MCHS Marching Band Wins 1st Place

The Metcalfe County High School Hornet Marching Band won first place in Class A at the Western Kentucky Tournament of Champions in Hopkinsville, Ky. The band was also awarded Best Color Guard and Best Percussion. Their next performance is Saturday, Oct. 19 at the KMEA Regional Quarterfinals also at Hopkinsville High School. The state competition is Oct. 26.
