Back to School Bash

Parents and students, please join us for the MCMS Back to School Bash on August 7th from 3:30--5:30.  We hope to see you there!

No School Supplies Required

For the 2014-15 school year Metcalfe County students will have no supply list and no student fees.  Students will be expected to have paper and pencil but beyond that the school will provide other needed items.   Students are welcome to bring their favorite folder, binder, or any other item, but there is no requirement for such.

MCMS Summer Library Hours

Metcalfe County Middle School will be open some days during June. Any MCMS student can come in to check out books. Remember that students who get 30 or more AR points get a 1/2 day at the park and pizza. The boy and girl with the most AR points will get a new bicycle. Students can take AR quizzes at the public library or MCMS library on the dates below:

  • Tuesday, June 17
  • Monday, June 30
  • Tuesday, July 1

Miss America 2000 Visits MCMS

Miss America 2000, Heather French Henry, visited with students at Metcalfe County Middle School. She spoke with them about accomplishing goals in life and working hard to achieve your dreams. Click on "Read More" to see a video of the event.

Metcalfe Teachers Receive CU Excellence in Teaching Award
