Shawn Lu overall KY Adopt a Highway Winner

Shawn Lu was the overall winner of all age divisions and the winner of the 15-18 year-old age division in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Adopt-a-Highway Art Contest! Students from all over the state participated.

Because Shawn won the overall competition and his age division he is invited to the awards luncheon  in Frankfort. Additionally, Shawn is invited to do a graphic design workshop with Kentucky’s Design and Print Shop, Graphic Design team to do the layout for the calendar/poster after the award’s ceremony!

Danny Conrad Retires from Metcalfe County Transportation Department

Danny Conrad is presented a gift from Metcalfe County School Board Chairman, Joey Shive.


Metcalfe County Middle School Honors Students and Staff

Jovana Cuevas, Lesley London and Connie Cox were all recognized at the board meeting Tuesday, January 12th for their contributions to Metcalfe County Middle School.

Library Giveaways and Online Book Club!

MCHS library is offering students the opportunity to win prizes after reading books.  The library will also offer an online book club for students to participate in that will feature books that are chosen by students.
