The Metcalfe County School District is
comprised of seven primary and secondary
schools: three elementary schools, one sixth
grade center, one middle school, one high
school, and one alternative high school. We
service nearly 1700 students through a
variety of programs including Gifted and
Talented Education, KERA Preschool, Title I,
Accelerated Reading and Math, CCC in Reading
and Math, Extended School Services, Migrant
Education, Family Resource and Youth Service
Centers, 21st Century Learning Centers, and
a variety of other programs.
Metcalfe County Schools have a mission of
"Improving Lives" through a curriculum and
program of studies that enhances the
learning environment for all students.
Our teaching staff is committed to providing
the best education possible for the students
in our care, and work to empower all
students for future achievement. We
believe that a key to accomplishing our
performance goals is to have high
expectations for every student.
